Anti-wrinkle cosmetics are increasingly using ingredients that target not only the skin itself but also the facial muscles. Their constant activity is responsible for the formation of facial wrinkles, particularly around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. The key active ingredient in Miorelaxant Magic creams is conotoxin, an innovative peptide with muscle-relaxing properties. Its action is complemented by argireline, which enhances and extends the anti-wrinkle effect of the entire formula.

Argireline

It is one of the ingredients of our creams from the Miorelaxant Magic line and can be found in the Ultimate Anti-Wrinkle cream and in the Rich Cream.

Argireline, known chemically as acetylhexapeptide-8, is a synthetic neuropeptide with a chain structure consisting of six amino acids (hexapeptide). Its amino acid sequence is Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-NH₂.

This short peptide works in a way similar to botulinum toxin – it limits the transmission of nerve impulses to facial muscles by inhibiting the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which prevents these muscles from contracting as intensely. As a result, skin in areas particularly prone to facial expression, such as the eye area or forehead, appears smoother, and expression lines become less visible.

Argireline is an ingredient frequently used in anti-wrinkle cosmetics. Used regularly, it has a preventative effect, improves skin firmness, supports natural regenerative processes, and slows the formation of new wrinkles while reducing the visibility of existing ones.

Why argireline and conotoxin in one cream?

Many people may ask: if the Miorelaxant Magic creams contain conotoxin, why use argireline as well?

Although both peptides affect facial muscles, their mechanisms of action are different, so they complement each other and enhance the anti-wrinkle effect. This allows the cream to work in two ways:

- conotoxin – as the main ingredient – ​​works by specifically blocking sodium ion channels on the surface of skeletal muscle cells, thus intensively relaxing the facial muscles.

- argireline – as a supplement – ​​inhibits the contractions of facial muscles by limiting the release of acetylcholine, which stabilizes and prolongs the smoothing effect.

The method of obtaining these two peptides is also different. Conotoxin is produced using biotechnological methods in the Science4Beauty laboratory, while argireline is chemically synthesized.

The combination of these two ingredients – conotoxin and argireline – allows for the high effectiveness of cosmeceuticals from the Miorelaxant Magic line while maintaining the natural appearance of the skin.

A cosmetic alternative and support for aesthetic treatments

Peptides such as conotoxin and argireline are often referred to as "botox-like" substances because they have effects similar to botulinum toxin, but:

- do not require injection,

- they do not cause pain,

- they do not carry the risk of complications.
