E. coli is used exclusively at the peptide production stage and is not an ingredient of the cosmetic. In the biotechnological process, we use a suitably prepared, non-pathogenic strain of bacteria as specific microscopic "biological factories" that produce the peptide we are interested in. After cultivation is complete, the conotoxin is separated from the bacterial material and undergoes a multi-stage purification process. Subsequently, it acquires the correct spatial structure, stabilized by three disulfide bridges, and its biological activity is verified. The finished cosmetic does not contain any live E. colibacteria. The cosmetic contains only the purified active ingredient. The safety of the final ingredient is ensured by a controlled purification process, quality control, and safety testing of both the finished peptide and the formulation.

No. Bacteria are used exclusively at the production stage of recombinant conotoxin – they act as biological "micro-factories" that produce the necessary peptide. Once the process is complete, the peptide is isolated and thoroughly purified. The finished cosmetic product does not contain any live E. colibacteria or other live genetically modified organisms.

No. No snails are used in the production process of our conotoxin. Nature served as inspiration for the choice of peptide, but we obtain the ingredient itself using genetic engineering methods in the laboratory. This allows us to produce it in a controlled and repeatable manner, without extracting venom from animals.

Natural cone snail venom contains many different peptides, whereas in our cosmetics we use one precisely selected molecule with a specific structure and effect. Its purpose is to help smooth the skin and reduce the visibility of expression lines. Thanks to recombinant production, we can obtain the same peptide in a controlled, repeatable manner that is independent of animal-derived materials.

The epidermal barrier effectively limits the penetration of larger, hydrophilic molecules, which is why simply adding an active peptide to a cream would not be enough to harness its full potential. Thanks to support from European Funds, for over two years we have been developing both our proprietary method for producing conotoxin and the technology for its formulation in cosmetics. Therefore, the activity of conotoxin is checked using functional methods that evaluate its ability to interact with Nav1.4 sodium channels. This allows us to verify whether the formulation and storage process of the product has led to the loss of the peptide's key biological activity.

We evaluate the safety of Miorelaxant Magic™ both at the level of the active ingredient and the finished cosmetic formulation. A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) has been developed for the conotoxin, containing information on its properties, hazards, and safe handling procedures. For the finished formulation, a Safety Assessment Report has been conducted in accordance with the requirements for the safety of cosmetic products.

The scope of the assessment includes, among other things, phototoxic potential, skin irritation, and eye irritation potential. Additionally, we conduct application tests of the finished products, which allow us to evaluate their tolerance during use under actual conditions.

No. In the case of bioactive peptides, what matters is not only the concentration, but also the molecule's stability, its proper structure, the formulation, the method of delivery to the skin, and the maintenance of biological activity. Therefore, our approach is not based on marketing-driven increases in the ingredient's percentage, but on developing an entire system in which the peptide can retain its properties. The concentration of conotoxin in our conoceuticals was established based on conducted biological activity studies, rather than through the arbitrary increase of the ingredient's content.

Yes. Products containing the conotoxin Miorelaxant Magic™ have been evaluated in application and instrumental studies involving human participants. We studied both their independent anti-wrinkle effects, as well as the use of the conotoxin cosmetic in the care of individuals following botulinum toxin treatments. In studies of independent use, a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles was observed in 42% of subjects after just 28 days of use.

The study involved 60 people aged 30 to 68 with expression lines in the area of the lateral corners of the eyes. The participants were randomly divided into two groups of 30. Both groups underwent a procedure using botulinum toxin in the orbicularis oculi muscle. Subsequently, for six months, one group used a cosmetic containing conotoxin, while the control group used a cosmetic without conotoxin. This comparison made it possible to evaluate the additional effect associated specifically with the presence of Miorelaxant Magic™.

The difference between the groups began to grow significantly from about the 90th day after the procedure. In those using the conotoxin cosmetic, stronger and longer-lasting myorelaxation effects were observed, and participants declared greater satisfaction with their appearance both at rest and during full facial expression. According to the study results, the use of the conotoxin cosmetic allowed for extending the effect by even about two months.
