Miorelaxant Magic™ Ultimate Anti-Wrinkle is an advanced conoceutical containing our proprietary recombinant conotoxin, a peptide originally found in the venom of marine snails from the Conus genus. The conotoxin used in the product is produced biotechnologically in our laboratory in Warsaw using genetic engineering methods. It is not extracted from snails.

Our recombinant conotoxin interacts with NaV1.4 sodium channels in skeletal muscles. In practice, its action is targeted at reducing excessive activity of facial muscles involved in the formation of expression lines. The product does not cause permanent muscle immobilisation or a so-called “frozen face” effect.

No. Conotoxin and botulinum toxin are two different substances with different mechanisms of action. Botulinum toxin is administered by injection and affects the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. Miorelaxant Magic™ conotoxin is a cosmetic ingredient applied topically to the skin and acts through a different molecular target, NaV1.4 sodium channels.

For this reason, Miorelaxant Magic™ conotoxin is not “Botox in a cream”, but it may serve as an advanced complement to a daily anti-wrinkle skincare routine.

Yes. Expression lines are one of the main areas targeted by the cream. In application studies, a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles was observed in 42% of participants after 28 days of use.

The genetic sequence encoding the selected peptide is introduced into an E. coli expression system. The cells then produce a protein containing the desired conotoxin, which undergoes a multi-stage process of isolation, purification and correct folding.
