Innovative hyperhidrosis therapy using a proprietary cosmeceutical containing a recombinant neurotoxin.

Science4Beauty Sp. z o. o. in consortium with the Warsaw University of Technology, Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, implementation of the project entitled: Innovative therapy for hyperhidrosis with an original cosmeceutical containing recombinant neurotoxin.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The aim of the project is to develop a cosmetic formulation containing recombinant neurotoxins for use in the treatment of hyperhidrosis. It is planned to develop an accessible and ecological method for creating two neurotoxin solutions, apply their structure and capabilities, develop a practical formula, which has been presented and action, and apply a detailed cosmeceutical in a clinical solution with volunteers.
As part of the completed project, the following TASKS were explained:
1. Biosynthesis of recombinant neurotoxins in a prokaryotic expression system.
The aim of the task is to develop an engineered E. coli bacterial expression system for the production of recombinant neurotoxins, which will be used in an innovative cosmeceutical for the treatment of hyperhidrosis.
2. Production and purification of recombinant neurotoxins into a transparent laboratory and cosmeceutical formula.
The aim of task 2 is to develop estimated methods of application and cosmeceutical formulations that will support biological activities and ensure the achievement of neurotoxins.
3. Studies on the formulation of active neurotoxins for the needs of control studies.
The aim of the task is to assess the safety and properties of recombinant neurotoxins, which enable their use in the formulation of creams.
4. Research on the scaling of bacterial strains characterizing neurotoxins and preparation of a cosmeceutical base with neurotoxins for application studies.
The aim is to obtain a procedure for scaling the process of obtaining neurotoxins and to confirm and confirm the microbiological cosmeceutical in the event of occurrence.
5. Conducting a therapeutic research experiment with volunteers to discuss a separate cosmeceutical
The aim of the task is to verify special cosmeceuticals in hyperhidrosis.

TARGET GROUPS
The target group of the project are consumers looking primarily for EFFECTIVENESS SAFETY and NON-INVASIVENESS used for a long time. These are also the priority features of products sought in the fight against hyperhidrosis.
Studies on hyperhidrosis concern about 3% of effects and up to 45% of men in adulthood, and the problem often manifests itself in the armpit, on the effects or feet.

PROJECT RESULTS
The Applicant's product will be the first effect by selectively blocking Nav1.8 receptors activating the sweating process - a mechanism of action known from that used in competitors' products. The product will take the form of a modern cosmeceutical with a local solution, which limits side effects in the form of an active neurotoxin acting on the problem of hyperhidrosis.
